The hotel had a central setting in beautiful surroundings.
The room was very dated.

Everything was good, and it had free wi-fi. Our room was new-fashioned and huge and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The accommodation had a central location on a road junction where cars power up hill. What's more, it was near the centre, and the pub.

The bed was clean and comfortable, the room was quite large. Free parking behind the hotel. The staff went out of their way.
The bathroom was unfortunately not clean (e.g. hair in the sink drain) and the rest seemed to be very run down. The hotel is located on a busy street, so it is loud with the window open.

Request a room away from the main road to avoid the noise, especially if you're traveling with children.

From the outside the hotel did not give me confidence that I would have a pleasant stay. However, when I entered I found a very extensive and well kept bar and on being taken to my room I was surprised by the fresh and clean decoration in the hallways and stairs. The room itself was excellent and the bathroom was much better than the average. I would recommend this hotel. Good for business and not far from Bath and the surrounding countryside.

The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfasts well prepared and tasy. There was adequate car parking and the location suited our needs for the weekend.
The traffic noise during the night was awful - made worse since our room was not double glazed. The staff, whilst efficient and obliging were not very friendly.

The reception was friendly and welcoming. The bar area had a good atmosphere. The bedroom was spacious, comfortable and well equipped, and the bathroom was clean and spacious too. We enjoyed a very good "full English" breakfast.
only one minor issue - there were no glasses in the bathroom.

Friendly atmosphere, pleasant room, good breakfast.
Found bed a bit hard and pillows extremely flat and uncomfortable!

We were very impressed with the size of the room & the four poster bed! A large en-suite bathroom. We ate at the hotel and the food was also excellent and very good value for money. Overall for a late booking at a reduced price we could not have chosen better. The hotel bar is very much a locals haunt but the atmosphere was very friendly.

Close to Bus Station. Relaxed and Friendly.
Bad language in the bar by customers in conversation with staff. Not a worry to me but would have been if I was with my wife, and could have been to other couples. Perhaps a resedents bar section would be better.
